Real Madrid star Luka Modric is all set to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer despite interest from Inter Milan and now Paris Saint-Germain. The Croatian star was a first-team star last season but with Real Madrid struggling so did Modric and that has seen Zinedine Zidane weigh up his future.

Real Madrid may have undergone a serious change to their team, having spent in excess of a £200 million this summer but they haven’t let go of too many stars. The club needs to balance their books this season and that has seen quite a few players linked with moves away. Reports have emerged that James Rodriguez, Isco Alarcon, Marcelo, Lucas Vasquez, and even Mariano Diaz are all transfer listed.

But one man who has also been linked with a move away is Luka Modric, with Inter desperately chasing after the 33-year-old throughout last season. However, while no move ever materialized and he opted to stay at the Bernabeu, Paris Saint-Germain are now after a move. The Ligue 1 giants are looking for a world-class option to improve their side and believe that Modric is their man.

They may have added Ander Herrera this summer, but reports indicate that Thomas Tuchel is looking to further improve his team before the season starts, as they look to get the Champions League trophy. However, the Mirror has reported that the 33-year-old has instead opted to stay at Real Madrid this season, with the report further adding that Modric has no intentions of leaving Spain.
