Reports | Manchester United set to wait for Jadon Sancho till next summer
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to wait until next summer to bolster his attack with Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho his top target. The 21-year-old has flourished in the Bundesliga since his move from Manchester City and has been targeted by a whole host of European sides.
Solskjaer was more than happy to let Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez leave, with both forwards joining Inter Milan, but that does leave the club short of options on the offensive front. However, the Standard has reported that the Norwegian and Manchester United have no immediate plans to sign any emergency forwards this summer.
The report further added that despite links to Fernando Llorente and Zlatan Ibrahimovic offering his services to the club, there will be no move either now or in January. While the Norwegian was adamant that the club had to sign a replacement when the summer window was open, he now believes that Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford will be enough.
Sanchez is set to complete a 10-month loan move to Inter after both sides came to an agreement over the Chilean’s wage structure. The 30-year-old will join Lukaku at the San Siro, following the Belgium international’s massive £73million move to the Italian giants this summer.
However, the report has further reported that the summer of 2020 will see Manchester United potentially spend very heavily on their top target Jadon Sancho. The former Manchester City star has flourished in the Bundesliga, which has seen him become the Red Devil’s top target. They were targeting a move for the English forward this summer but Borussia Dortmund made it clear that he was not for sale.
