Manchester City are reportedly considering Kingsley Coman as Leroy Sane’s replacement if the German leaves for Bayern Munich next summer. The former Schalke star has been exceptional for the Cityzens but has been long linked with a move to Germany with only an ACL tear stopping a summer move.

Despite the presence of Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez, Manchester City are considering bringing in Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman, reports Sky Sports. However, the report further went on to add that the French winger will only be brought in if a move for Leroy Sane goes through with the German heavily linked with a move to Bavaria.

Only an ACL tear prevented the move from taking place in the summer with former Bayern boss Niko Kovac even admitting that the club were working hard to bring Sane in. However, while the German has been recuperating from his injury, the rumours linking him with a move hasn’t stopped and that has seen Manchester City consider a move for Coman. He is not the only name on their shortlist but the idea of a potential cash plus player swap does entice the Cityzens.

While the French forward is highly thought of at Bayern, he’s struggled to put his best foot forward since making his move from Juventus permanent a little over two years ago. That move came after he signed for the Old Lady from PSG but Coman has struggled to make an impact at either club making more than 160 appearances with just 29 goals to his name.

It’s one of the reasons, reports have revealed, that Sane is their top target as they believe that he and Serge Gnabry would compliment each other’s skill-set. This comes just days after Coman revealed in an interview, to Goal that he is not the goal-scoring wide-forward that the fans expect him to be. Instead, the 23-year-old went on to admit that he is someone who loves creating goals for others but will also chip in with a few goals here and there.
