Premier League outfit Manchester United could soon launch an offer for West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice who is rated at £70 million. Rice has emerged as one of the hottest young prospects in Europe and Manchester United are keen to snap up the England international before any other club does.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to add Declan Rice to his squad in a bid to save the season after a poor start reports the Daily Mail. The West Ham midfielder as risen to prominence following his breakthrough season for West Ham United last season. The Manchester club were interested in him during the summer too but did not submit an official bid. The England midfielder has started this season on a strong note as well starring for West Ham and England which has drawn the club’s attention.

Reports suggest that the holding midfielder is likely to cost in excess of £70 million as West Ham holds onto their £100 million evaluation. However, Rice has insisted he remains committed to West Ham and is keen to honour the five-year contract he signed at the club last season. The Red Devils are set to have a busy transfer window as they try and sign a number of players to improve a number of positions. They are in dire need to address their attack which hasn’t been clinical and the midfield which has lacked creativity.

The 20-year-old holding midfielder will prove to be a valuable asset to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as he could use Rice in a variety of positions in the midfield which will allow Pogba to play in a more free role provided he stays at the club. Not only that Nemanja Matic's struggles over the last few years has seen the club search for a new defensive midfielder and Rice fits Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's philospohy.
