With Arsenal looking to improve their attacking options, the Gunners are in talks with Barcelona over a deal for Philippe Coutinho that would see Matteo Guendouzi move the other way. The French midfielder has been ostracised at North London since the restart having fallen out with boss Mikel Arteta.

Despite looking a little shaky at the back this season, Arsenal are set to reportedly consider signing offensive reinforcements next summer. The club have been heavily linked with moves for Moussa Dembele, Odsonne Edouard and a few other stars but one report that hasn’t gone away is a potential move for Philippe Coutinho. The Brazilian has been reportedly ended his stay at Barcelona as he’s struggled to justify the high price tag that the La Liga giants paid Liverpool.

That combined with a lacklustre loan spell at Bayern Munich has seen Coutinho mooted with a move away and England is reportedly his prime destination. The likes of Newcastle United, Everton and Arsenal are all on his list of potential destinations but the Gunners are at the top. But while any potential move for the midfielder could be hampered by Arsenal’s financial issues, ESPN has reported that a swap deal is on the cards.

The La Liga giants are reportedly keen on a move for Matteo Guendouzi and with the Frenchman currently not in favour at the Emirates, Arsenal are looking for ways to offload him. That has seen ESPN reported that a swap deal which sees Coutinho and Guendouzi swap places is on the cards with both parties reportedly open to the move. The report also added that both clubs are open to the move with Barcelona looking to reinforce their midfield while Arsenal want to add to a catalogue of attacking talents.
