|According to ESPN, Manchester City are willing to wait for a year in order to sign Harry Kane if Tottenham refuse to let their star leave this summer. The Cityzens have reportedly already submitted a £100 million offer for the striker but that has reportedly been rejected by the North Londoners.
With Tottenham in limbo at the moment, having failed to appoint a proper replacement for Jose Mourinho, it has many fans worried as to what will happen to Harry Kane. The forward is reportedly keen on leaving North London this summer in order to compete for more trophies and has been linked with a move to some of Europe’s biggest sides. However, with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy quoting a reportedly price-tag of around £150 million for Kane, few clubs have made an approach.
But even that hasn’t deterred Manchester City with them reportedly tabling a £100 million offer for the forward, with a deal that could potentially include a player plus cash swap as well. While that has been reportedly rejected by Tottenham, ESPN have reported that the Cityzens are willing to wait a year in order to get their man. The club reportedly believe that Kane is the striker they need to replace Sergio Aguero and while they’ve accepted that this will be a tough deal to make, they’re keen on getting the Englishman.
ESPN have further reportedly that Erling Haaland is an alternative that Manchester City are looking at but only if the Borussia Dortmund forward opts to leave next summer. However, since Kane does have three years left on his deal, City believe that Tottenham would be under even more pressure to sell the forward next summer, if a deal doesn’t take place during this transfer window.
