After losing their last game to Bengal Warriors, Dabang Delhi coach Krishan Kumar Hooda has stated that his team has made things difficult for themselves with a few of the errors in the defence. Naveen Kumar has expressed that Delhi need to ensure they don’t make any mistakes in the upcoming games.

Bengal Warriors had a great outing against Dabang Delhi KC in the top of the table clash on Monday, beating them by a convincing margin of 42 - 33. It was a good check for the team from the national capital ahead of the semi-finals as they have already made it to the top-four stage in this year’s PKL. Dabang Delhi coach Krishan Kumar Hooda was clearly not happy about the proceedings and said a few of their mistakes in the defence resulted in the loss.

“We made a few errors in defence at the start of the match and continued to repeat those mistakes, which is why we made life difficult for ourselves tonight,” Coach Hooda said after the game..

Skipper Joginder Narwal also agreed with the coach and said that the team’s defence could be much better in the clash.

“Look, Bengal Warriors are a great team. We are both great teams and at the top of the table. As far as tonight’s match goes, we made several defensive lapses, which cost us the match,” explained skipper Joginder.

With his 19th super 10 in season 7, youngster Naveen Kumar has equalled Pardeep Narwal’s record of the highest number of super 10s in a single season. Naveen ended up with 15 raid points against the Bengal side but that effort was not enough to ensure a win for the Joginder Narwal-led side. Although he was happy with the personal record, the teenage sensation expressed his disappointment at the eventual result.

“It feels good and is a matter of pride, but I am disappointed that we lost the match. We now have to focus on the upcoming matches and create strategies that ensure we don’t repeat the same mistakes that we committed today,” expressed Naveen.
