"Form is temporary but class is permanent" is a phrase that is used often across the sporting world and MS Dhoni has been on a mission to show the truth in that statement throughout this IPL. After stumping the dangerous AB de Villiers, Dhoni showed quick hands to get M Ashwin’s wicket too.

The Chennai Super Kings franchise were written off immediately after the IPL auction which was held in January earlier this year, as they were nicknamed ‘Chennai Senior Kings’. But their performance on the pitch has proved otherwise with players like Ambati Rayudu, Shane Watson, Dwayne Bravo, and Harbhajan Singh proving that age is just a number. But a standout performer for Stephen Fleming’s team will surely be the skipper MS Dhoni who has taken his fans down memory lane with some blistering knocks throughout the tournament to silence his critics for good.

But Dhoni’s real strength will always be his lightning-quick hands that have produced some stunning dismissals over the years. He looked to be at his peak today as he teamed up with veteran Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh to dismiss the dangerous AB de Villiers early on in the match before he could do much damage.

The CSK duo teamed up once again in the fourteenth over to claim the scalp of RCB middle-order batsman Murugan Ashwin. Harbhajan once again bowled a smart ‘doosra’ to drag the batsman out and before the allrounder could drag his foot back, Dhoni displayed some quick reflexes to whip off the bails.
