Shane Warne took to Twitter to express his delight after Kuldeep Yadav mentioned that he was delighted to get a fifer in front of his "idol". Warne was a part of the commentary team for the Test series which concluded at the SCG today where the left-arm wrist-spinner scalped five wickets.

At his best, very few matches the aura of Shane Warne - arguably the best in the cricket history. Leg-spinners have a special affection and respect towards the Victorian and it was a no surprise for Warne after Kuldeep revealed that the Aussie has been his idol. Warne thanked the wrist-spinner for the kind words and said that it was a pleasure watching him bowl at the SCG.

“He (Warne) is my idol. His wrist work, flight and drift, and the way he deceived a batsman is something I am trying to learn. I will consider myself successful even if I get to deliver 50% of what he did,” Kuldeep said, reported The Hindu.

The left-arm wrist spinner was sensational with his bowling efforts in the first ever Test match in Australia as he ended up with figures of 99/5 in the first innings. Kuldeep, after the game, mentioned Warne as his idol and Indian cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle tweeted that Warne was beaming in the commentary box after hearing the comments made by Kuldeep.

"Wonderful moment when @imkuldeep18 said he was proud to take a fifer in front of his idol and in the commentary box @ShaneWarne was beaming," Bhogle wrote on Twitter.
