VIDEO | Top five sledges that marked India-Australia series
The years of wait has finally ended for India as the team secured a 2-1 victory to win their first Test series on Australian soil. While a lot of factors came together to help India achieve this marvellous win, sledging took a top role once again, albeit in a subtle way to keep the duel fiery.
Paine trolling Pant over MS Dhoni’s comeback to ODI team
As the dust has finally settled, there should definitely be a special chapter for Tim Paine and Rishabh Pant’s banter. It all started when Paine trolled him about his absence from the ODI squad and offered him a Hobart Hurricanes contract, a nice apartment in Hobart, and a babysitting role for his kids.
"Big MS Dhoni is back in the one-day squad. We might this bloke down at the @BBLHurricanes."@tdpaine36 had a lot of fun with @RishabPant777 out in the middle 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/2WbivIuMWd

Pant calls Paine "the most temporary skipper ever"
After Paine sledged Pant behind the stumps asking him to babysit his kids, Pant called Paine “the most temporary captain ever” and was warned by Ian Gould for the same.
“He is the most temporary captain ever, Guys. It is not a problem to get him out,” Pant started screaming while Paine remained silent.

Paine challenging Rohit to hit a six in order to make him a Mumbai Indians supporter
When Rohit Sharma was going strong in Melbourne, Tim Paine tried distracting him as he stated that if Rohit Sharma could hit a six in Melbourne, he would start supporting Mumbai Indians and not Rajasthan Royals. Rohit later replied, albeit off screen, that if Paine could hit a century, then Mumbai would probably think of buying him.

Virat Kohli, Tim Paine involve in verbal banter and makes chest contact
The mini-duel between Virat Kohli and Tim Paine marked the Perth Test and struck off a nice conversation. On the third day of the Test, after India went for a caught-behind appeal to dismiss Paine, umpire turned it down, but an upbeat Kohli immediately said, "If he messes it up, it's 2-0.” Paine also didn’t hold himself back and resorted back saying "You've got to bat first, big head".
On the next day, seeing Kohli standing at mid-on, a position he doesn’t basically stand, Paine told Kohli, "You're the one that lost it yesterday, that's why you're trying to be cool today."
Virat Kohli also stepped forward and just had a mini clash with the Aussie skipper, and seeing the matter is going to be out of hands, umpire Chris Gaffaney stepped in to cool things down.
"That's enough. Come on, just play the game. You're the captains!" Gaffney said to which Paine retorted, "We're just trying to have a conversation. There's no swearing."
After listening to Paine’s comments, Gaffaney, in the tone of a statesman, said, "Tim, you're the captain". Paine had no other way than calling the banter a truce and so he immediately told Kohli, “keep your cool Virat".
"I know he's your captain but you can't seriously like him as a bloke," Paine told Murali Vijay
After an altercation with Virat Kohli, Tim Paine targetted Murali Vijay to take a dig at the Indian skipper and stated that the latter certainly couldn’t like Kohli as a person. "I know he's your captain but you can't seriously like him as a bloke," Paine told Murali Vijay.
