Mathew Hayden hits back at Virender Sehwag after ‘babysitter’ advert

Mathew Hayden has taken to Twitter to have a healthy banter with Virender Sehwag after the former Indian opener’s recent ad on Star Sports on the upcoming India-Australia series became very popular. Hayden has mentioned not take the Aussies for a joke and that they are the current World Champions.

Ever since the banter between Tim Paine and Rishabh Pant that took place during the third Test match of the India-Australia series, the word ‘babysitter’ has become common on the cricketing circuit. Pant delightfully posed for a photograph with Paine’s kids during an event at the Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s residence before the Sydney Test. Meanwhile, Star India has now joined this with their new ad campaign for the upcoming India tour of Australia starting later this month.

Former India opener Sehwag is seen in the video with small kids wearing the Australian jersey and making fun of the Kangaroos ahead of their tour to India. Star Sports also posted this on their Twitter handle as a part of the promotional campaign.

“Every baby needs a babysitter - India and Australia would remember this well! The Aussies are on their way and here's how @virendersehwag is welcoming 'em! Watch Paytm #INDvAUS Feb 24 onwards LIVE on Star Sports to know who will have the last laugh. #Babysitting,” read Star Sports’ tweet.

Meanwhile, former Aussie left-hander Hayden has taken the banter forward warning Sehwag and reminding him of the 2015 edition of the Cricket World Cup.

“#BeWarned  Never take Aussie’s for a joke Viru Boy @virendersehwag @StarSportsIndia Just remember who’s baby sitting the #WorldCup trophy,” Hayden wrote on his Twitter handle.
