Manchester United have earmarked RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann as a potential option in the near future with the pressure already building on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The highly-rated 32-year-old is already on his second top-flight job in Germany having signed for RB Leipzig in the summer.

Manchester United have already started doing the groundwork on their future with the Daily Mail reporting that the Red Devils have earmarked Julian Nagelsmann as a future Old Trafford manager. The 32-year-old has done very well for himself so far managing Hoffenheim and now RB Leipzig joining the latter this summer. However, it was his spell at the former that saw the German become a highly-rated star in the managerial world, with the club flourishing under his tenure.

Nagelsmann became the youngest manager in Bundesliga history when he was appointed by Hoffenheim at 28 and led them from the relegation zone to well clear of safety. After a summer window with the club and the board's backing, the 32-year-old led them into fourth and then third-place finishes a year later which earned Hoffenheim their first appearance in the Champions League group stage. They went on to finish at the bottom of their group but Nagelsmann won a lot of plaudits for Hoffenheim's performances with the club putting up a fight against even Manchester City.

That earned him a move to RB Leipzig in June 2019 and the club currently sit in fifth place in the German top flight, just two points behind league leaders Borussia Monchengladbach. However, the German is tied to Leipzig until 2023 but the Daily Mail’s report added that the Red Devils will only continue to scout the rising star before eventually making their move down the line.
