Sunil Gavaskar bats for Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal’s inclusion in Test team
Sunil Gavaskar is very impressed with the evolution of Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal and believes that both can carry their limited-overs form to the Tests. The original little-master also seemed confident that Bumrah can trouble batsmen at the helpful conditions of South Africa and Australia.

Albeit all that, they are yet to get a call-up for the Test team. But, impressed with their performance, India's batting legend Sunil Gavaskar has said that they should be considered for Test cricket sooner than later.
"They were fantastic. They have been absolutely terrific. They had brought all their IPL experience into play, they know exactly where to bowl, to which batsman what line to bowl, what deliveries to
Bumrah has earlier shown that he has it in him to be successful with the red-ball as in Gujarat’s triumphant run to a much-cherished maiden Ranji Trophy title last year, he was the bowling hero for the team alongside former India cricketer RP Singh. On the other hand, Chahal, at the pacer-friendly wickets of Lahli, orchestrated many stirring displays for Haryana in the Ranji Trophy. Gavaskar believes that the duo can implement that form in South Africa, Australia, and England.
"Both these bowlers have been quite outstanding and I do believe that the way they are bowling they should also be considered for the red ball format which is the Test format. Particularly, I think both of them. Bumrah for example, you know in South Africa, Australia and England, will be quite a handful with the pace and with the accuracy that he has and Chahal as well, the way he has been tossing the ball up to the odd batsman, getting the ball to turn and grip, I think both of them are ready for red ball cricket," stated Gavaskar.
