Ishant laughs on his own shot

Watching Ishant Sharma bat is always a fun to watch. Today, while facing Mitchell Starc's quick yorker, Ishant Sharma tried to defend but ended up playing a weird shot. Ishant himself was found laughing as this fluke saved his wickets.

Ah well. Could this not have been in Adelaide 2014?

India, after coming close to a historic victory in Adelaide four years ago thanks to a Virat Kohli masterclass, lost the game narrowly. Kohli and Murali Vijay were brilliant that day, but the game was decided when Rahane was given out despite the replay showing otherwise.

He won’t let you miss Dhoni

MS Dhoni was funny behind the stumps with his one-liners and running commentary that was caught on the stump mic, but he was a voice of command too. And young Rishabh Pant came in with a breath of fresh air and with his impishness.

Kuldeep Yadav ran towards Shane Warne during the net practice today - maybe to get a lesson or two from the master leg-spinner and was accompanied by Team India coach Ravi Shastri. Well, how many do you know that Shastri was also a left-arm spinner in his heyday? He has 151 Test and 129 ODI wickets to his name.

3 eventful deliveries

On the second ball of the innings, Ishant bowled an inswinger which caught Finch off guard and he got himself into a terrible position by planting his front foot right across. Umpire Kumar Dharmasena's finger didn’t wait for a second before being raised to sign the end of Finch’s innings. However, the opener, thanks to his big stride, thought the ball might have missed the leg stump and that’s why decided to go for a review.

This is hilarious!! Nobody would shake hands with Rohit Sharma after his terrible performance in both the innings. It seems Ashwin is still in disbelief that Finch didn't challenge it.

Pant teaches Ashwin!!

Today, Pant again got himself into the mood and kept on chipping in words. He even suggested Ashwin to keep on bowling in the zone to make him suffer more, but Marcus Harris proved his logic wrong with a four.
