Looks like you have missed a lot of action during the match between West Indies and New Zealand. You are asking how we know this? We just know! Take a look at all the things that you have missed and decide for yourself. Here are the 8 things you missed during the match.

First ball wicket!

This isn’t something that you see every day! Sheldon Cottrell got the wicket of Martin Guptill in the very first ball of the match!

Running 4!

Carlos Brathwaite’s miscalculated effort to stop the ball actually helped Kane Williamson and Colin Munro to run 4 which is an extremely rare feat!

From Happiness to pain!

Chris Gayle took the important wicket of Ross Taylor and started celebrating! Unfortunately, he injured his shoulder while celebrating!

Williamson frustrating Taylor!

Ross Taylor wanted a single badly and immediately called for a run after connecting. But Kane Williamson on the other end quickly called no for the run! This left Taylor frustrated!

Record breaker Gayle!

Chris Gayle now has 22 ODI wickets against New Zealand, more than any other West Indies bowler, overtaking Courtney Walsh. Is there something that this guy can’t do?

Catches win matches!

When Gayle is on song, all you can hope is that he gives you half a chance. And if you are a spinner, you need your fielders to be at the top of  their game. So one can understand Santner's frustration when Gayle was dropped not once but twice in the same over. Before he bowled the 48th over, this would have been Matt Henry's biggest regret of the game.

Clash of the blackcaps!

You know the World Cup is well on its way when people put their bodies on the line. Today, however, New Zealand fans would not have been too pleased seeing the commitment of their players. As Cottrell dabbed a Neesham delivery down the leg side and took off for a quick single, the bowler and Santner saw an opening to get a run out. And both without realizing the presence of the other, clashed into one other as the Windies took another run off the target.

Officiating from the stands!

With eight ball left in the match, Neesham decided to go for a slower ball outside off since Brathwaite was making room for himself. The West Indies all rounder decided to leave it alone and with the ball well within the lines, the umpire stood his ground. While Brathwaite knew it was the right decision, a fan in the crowd was not too pleased with the officiating!
