Former Pakistani all-rounder Abdul Razzaq has offered a two-week training opportunity to Hardik Pandya, provided the BCCI is open to such a collaboration. Razzaq claims he found several flaws in the Pandya’s technique after watching him closely during India’s encounter against West Indies.

On the back of a scintillating IPL season, Hardik Pandya was all set to take the 2019 World Cup by a storm. But things haven’t quite turned out exactly as the all-rounder had hoped for. Nevertheless, he has made several key contributions with bat and the ball, scoring 142 runs and picking up 5 wickets in what has been a phenomenal campaign for India so far.

Walking into bat at 180/5, with India having just lost their skipper Virat Kohli, Pandya had just under 12 overs to make an impact for his team. Together with Dhoni, he put on a crucial 70-run stand to take India past the 250-run mark. Pandya scored 46 off 38 balls. Back in business with the ball, he trapped opener Sunil Ambris for 31 that triggered the Windies collapse.

Watching him closely was another all-rounder. Abdul Razzaq, now serving as a coach for Pakistan. And he took to Twitter to state that he has noticed several flaws in Pandya’s batting technique.

“This is the first time I’m watching Hardik Pandya play and I noticed several faults in his technique in his foot movement, bat swing, and body balance while hitting the ball,” said Razzaq in a video shared on Twitter.

However, the former Pakistani cricketer who himself has over 5000 runs and 269 wickets to his name, assured that he is willing to take the junior under his wings for a two-week coaching session.

“If given a chance to train him (Pandya) for two weeks, say for example in Dubai, then I can teach him. After the two weeks, I am confident he will turn into the world’s best all-rounder,” Razzaq added.

Razzaq also said that he was ready anytime the BCCI is willing to join hands to work on improvements for the Indian all-rounder.
