The contest between bat and ball in England when the weather is constantly playing spoilsport can make things tricky during a Test. However, Joe Root is one such batter who is in the form of his life and Mohammed Siraj's reaction after dismissing the batter showed how much his wicket meant to him.

The second day of the Test match between India and England at Edgbaston has seen many rain interruptions. Both teams have struggled to keep the momentum going as they have had to walk off the field multiple times. Earlier in the day, India managed to post 416 after captain Jasprit Bumrah smashed 29 from 14 balls to make sure India was on top. England's pacer James Anderson did manage to take five wickets but it seemed like the game had slipped away a bit from England.

As England walked out to bat, Jasprit Bumrah the bowler was at his absolute best as he troubled the top-order batters on the English side. He has three wickets in the game so far which has kept India on top of the game. But, Joe Root is one batter that has troubled the Indian bowlers over the years. The kind of form that Root displayed against New Zealand is proof that he is the man to get.

Mohammed Siraj who had a wonderful time last year against England was ack at his best once again after he was given the ball. The right-arm fast bowler was bowling to Root and he troubled him on the first five balls of the over. Mohammed Siraj on the final ball of the 22nd over got the ball to swing back in and it caught Joe Root in an awkward position as he tried to cut the ball away but could only manage to get the splice of the bat as it went in wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant's hand comfortably. During his stay, Root scored 31 from 67 balls.
