GT vs RR |Twitter erupts after Jaiswal grabs a screamer to foil Rashid’s no-look shot

When two unstoppable forces collide, the outcome can swing either way. Such was the case in Ahmedabad during the clash between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans, where Rashid Khan's audacious no-look shot backfired, resulting in his dismissal courtesy of a stunning catch by Yashasvi Jaiswal.

‌Sanju Samson won the toss and chose to bowl first on a tricky Motera surface, with Jofra Archer striking early to remove Shubman Gill. Sai Sudharsan anchored Gujarat's innings brilliantly, forming key partnerships with Jos Buttler and later Shahrukh Khan, as the hosts reached 145/2 by the 15th over. Maheesh Theekshana broke crucial stands by dismissing Buttler and Shahrukh, while Sherfane Rutherford failed to make an impact. Additionally, Rashid Khan failed to fire in the death overs when his no-look shot was caught well by Yashasvi Jaiswal.

On the final ball of the 19th over, Tushar Deshpande bowled a short delivery outside off stump, which Rashid Khan attempted to flick with a no-look shot after shuffling across the crease. With his front leg in the air and eyes off the ball, Rashid mistimed the shot badly, sending it straight toward backward square leg. Yashasvi Jaiswal reacted swiftly, diving to his right to take a stunning catch and end Rashid’s stay at the crease. The Twitterverse erupted with praise for Jaiswal’s athleticism while also debating Rashid’s ill-fated no-look attempt.
