Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho wants free-agent Zlatan Ibrahimovic to join him at Tottenham as his first move. The former Manchester United, Barcelona, and AC Milan striker has a great relationship with Mourinho with the duo winning three trophies together at Manchester United.

Despite saying that he will not be looking to sign players, the ESPN and the Guardian have reported that Jose Mourinho is keen on a move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The former Manchester United and Barcelona striker is now a free agent with his contract at LA Galaxy expiring at the end of the MLS season and has been linked with a move to the Serie A. The Swede’s former clubs Manchester United and AC Milan have been linked with a move but the Rossoneri leads the charge.

However, ESPN has reported that negotiations between Mino Raiola and AC Milan have come to a standstill over wage demands and that has seen Tottenham and Jose Mourinho consider a move for his former superstar. The 56-year-old and Ibrahimovic worked together at Manchester United with the mercurial striker netting 26 goals in 46 appearances for the Red Devils and winning three trophies during the course of his two-year spell.

Tottenham have also been linked with a move for Mario Mandzukic in the past and it’s a move that could reignite as Spurs look to add cover for Harry Kane. The North Londoners failed to replace Fernando Llorente in the summer with the Spaniard leaving for free to Napoli. However, a move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic could prove problematic with reports indicating that the Swede is demanding in excess of €200,000-per-week as wages.
