Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher feels that Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho is the missing piece in the Liverpool system and Jurgen Klopp should go all out to sign the youngster. The Bundesliga giants are willing to listen to offers for Sancho with the winger having fallen out with the club.

Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho is the missing piece of the jigsaw which would make Liverpool’s attack even more fearsome than it already is, according to Anfield hero Jamie Carragher. Sancho was on target in Barcelona as he scored the only Dortmund goal in their disappointing 3-1 loss to the Blaugrana in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday. Carragher feels Sancho should be the man to be chased by Liverpool and his addition would make Liverpool attack more threatening than ever, as reported by Dailystar.

“I think Liverpool still lack one player which is an attacking player to really support the front three and almost make it like a front four. At the moment there’s still a big difference when one of the front three doesn't play. We saw that at the weekend again when Salah was out – that time Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain played in the front three and that didn’t work,” Carragher told the Dailystar.

"We’ve seen Origi - that doesn’t work. Maybe there’s talk of a man in the Bundesliga coming to England from Borussia Dortmund, maybe he’s someone who Liverpool may be looking at in Sancho, who a lot of other Premier League clubs are looking at. There has been some great signings for Liverpool in the past [in January]. You think of van Dijk, Luis Suarez, Daniel Agger was a great player for Liverpool, Daniel Sturridge is another one.

"I would like to see an attacking player come in, someone with a bit more quality, maybe someone who could help them in the coming months going forward. I don’t think it’s an area which Klopp really looks at but I would expect it to be a really big summer for Liverpool, especially considering they didn’t sign anyone last summer.”

Jadon Sancho expressed his frustrations after he felt scapegoated and humiliated during BVB’s 4-0 loss to Bayern Munich. He was also charged a hefty fine by the club board for arriving late to the training and team meetings before the Barcelona game. Dortmund are now willing to sell him but will sell him only for a price above £100 million. Sancho has been involved in scoring 20 goals and providing 32 assists in 73 games for the 2011 Bundesliga champions.
