Reports | Juventus lining up move for Edinson Cavani next summer
With Edinson Cavani in the final year of his contract, Juventus has been tipped to make a move for the PSG striker next summer. Manchester United have been linked with the Uruguayan in the past but the arrival of Mauro Icardi at PSG has piqued Juventus’ interest in the former Napoli man.
The Daily Mail has reported that Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani has been tipped to join Juventus on a Bosman transfer next summer. The 32-year-old is in the final year of his deal with PSG and while he has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, Juventus are looking to bring the Uruguayan back to Italy. Cavani spent just over seven years playing football in Serie A and broke numerous scoring records along the way.
He finished his final season in Naples with 38 goals in all competitions before leaving for Ligue 1 where he has averaged 32 goals a season. That combined with his potential free agency has attracted Juventus and Italian news outlet Calciomercato has added that both Cavani and Thiago Silva will leave in the summer. The report further added that the 32-year-old striker will turn down a move to Old Trafford to join Juventus.
Reports have indicated that Juventus star Mario Mandzukic has been tipped to leave the club in January with the Croatian looking for more game-time. The former Atletico Madrid striker has also been linked with a move to Manchester United and reports have indicated that the Croatian is unhappy with his role under Maurizio Sarri and is looking to leave.
