Serbian FA president Nenad Bjekovic has proclaimed that Dusan Vlahovic is a more complete forward than Erling Haaland due to the striker’s ability to play different roles and adapt to several styles of play. Vlahovic joined Juventus in January while Haaland joined Manchester City this summer.

Dusan Vlahovic established himself as one of the best strikers in the top flight of Italian football after enjoying two sensational seasons with Fiorentina. The Serbian striker scored 22 goals in the 2020-21 campaign for the Viola and removed any doubt from the minds of his detractors by notching 17 goals for the Serie A side the following season until January. The Serbia international outlined his desire of moving to Juventus and a deal was struck between both sides for a fee of €70 million.

The 22-year-old picked up from where he left off as he added nine goals to his tally to round up a marvelous individual campaign. Vlahovic has been likened to Erling Haaland for being one of the best young strikers in European football with the Norwegian striker proving his prowess in Germany with Borussia Dortmund.

Haaland joined Manchester City this summer for a fee of €60 million as the Norwegian aims to replicate the immediate impact Vlahovic had for the Serie A side. Serbian FA president Bjekovic has asserted that Vlahovic is a superior talent than the City striker due to his ability to play in a wide variety of roles.

"Vlahovic is better and more complete than Haaland. The Norwegian has devastating power, but Dusan is not inferior: there is also very little difference in their height but the Juventus forward’s variety and styles of player is better. Manchester City and Juventus paid more or less the same fee, including commissions, to sign the two this year from Borussia Dortmund and Fiorentina,” Bjekovic told Tuttosport.
