Lionel Messi, currently playing for Inter Miami in the Major League Soccer, was asked about the toughest competitor he had on field and it's answer has shocked several football fans. It was expected that the legendary footballer would name his long-term rival Sergio Ramos but the answer was completely different.

Ever since his arrival to football, Lionel Messi has gone against several popular names such as Sergio Ramos, Paolo Maldini, Marcelo, Virgil van Dijk, and Rio Ferdinand. But it was also seen that none of them was able to trouble him when he was full set on the attack.

It was also revealed that Messi had his toughest challenge in the game while playing for Barcelona in 2017. Pablo Maffeo, who then played for Girona on a loan, put forward tons of challenges to Lionel Messi, as he was chasing him continuously on the pitch.
