India might play Ranchi Test with 10 men after Kohli injury
India could have to play the all-important third Test of the Border-Gavaskar trophy with 10 men after reports suggest that Virat Kohli could end up missing the entire match due to a shoulder injury. India's fielding coach R Sridhar confirmed that Kohli would undergo scans today to assess the damage.
Kohli suffered the injury in the 40th over when he put in a dive to stop a boundary. The Indian captain landed awkwardly on his shoulder and had to leave the field of play to receive treatment. Kohli was seen grimacing in pain and did not return to action on the first day.
"In his intent to save that one run, he stopped the ball and landed on his right shoulder when he rolled over," R Sridhar said, reported Reuters.

"The impact was quite heavy because of the momentum he was carrying. There was shock on his right shoulder.
"The exact status will be known by tomorrow morning. He's going to undergo some scans later today."
While the Indian camp refused to comment on the severity of the situation, AajTak's sports editor Vikrant Gupta has tweeted that Kohli has been ruled out of the entire match. However, this is yet to be confirmed by either the Indian team or the BCCI.
