Lendl Simmons was taking apart the Punjab bowling and the visitors surely needed some magic to send the in-form West Indian back to the pavilion and it was Martin Guptill who produced the majestic moment for the Punjab side. He took a worldie at the boundary line to bring an end to Simmons innings.

The Mumbai side seemed well under control while chasing the mammoth target of 231 runs and it was the West Indian Lendl Simmons who was spearheading the attack for the Mumbai side. Simmons was dropped by Mohit Sharma in the 8th over of the innings. However, Martin Guptill made no such mistake when he took a difficult catch to shift the momentum of the game in Punjab's favour.

On the 3rd delivery of the 10th over, which was bowled by Glenn Maxwell, Simmons danced down the track and tonked a juicy full toss that seemed to be going over Martin Guptill who was positioned at the long-on boundary but the Kiwi had other ideas in mind. Seeing the ball coming his way Guptill waited and leaped as high as he could to take a one-handed catch just a few centimetres away from the boundary ropes. Guptill showed the importance of timing even while fielding and got his side the much-needed wicket of the dangerous Simmons.
