In a video posted by the ICC celebrating MS Dhoni's career for 'changing the face of Indian Cricket', Jos Buttler has revealed that Dhoni was his idol growing up, being a fellow wicket-keeper. The video also saw tributes pour in from the likes of Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ben Stokes.

The International Cricket Council posted a video earlier this morning, celebrating the Indian Wicket-keeper batsman's glorious career, paying tribute to him for changing the "face of Indian Cricket". The video saw fellow cricketers Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Ben Stokes, and Jos Buttler pay tribute to the former Indian skipper.

Talking in the video, Jos Buttler, England's ODI wicket-keeper, has revealed that Dhoni was his idol growing up, and also claimed to be a "huge MS Dhoni fan". Buttler praised Dhoni for his exceptional wicket-keeping skills and for his calming influence with the bat.

"Obviously a fellow wicket-keeper, he has been my idol growing up. Mr Cool, I love his persona on the field, he has got lightning fast hands behind the stumps, he looks very calm when he bats. He is a huge ambassador for the game and I am a huge MS Dhoni fan." Buttler said in the video.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli was full of praise for Dhoni, claiming "Dhoni will always be his captain" while also praising him for the calm influence that he brings. The Indian skipper also spoke about their chemistry, while admitting that he always up for listening to some advice from Dhoni.

"What you see from the outside is very different from how things happen within a person. He's always calm and composed, there's so much to learn from him. He was my captain and he will always be my captain. Our understanding has always been brilliant. I am always up for listening to his advice," Kohli said about Dhoni.

Bumrah also praised the former Indian skipper for helping him settle into the team when he broke through as a youngster, back in 2016. "When I came to the team in 2016, he was the captain. He's a calming influence on the team and he's always there to help," Bumrah said.

English all-rounder Ben Stokes also branded Dhoni as one of the greats of the game. "One of the greats of the game, phenomenal wicketkeeper. I don't think anyone will be as good as him," Stokes said, praising the former Indian skipper, who he played under for the Rising Pune Supergiant in the Indian Premier League.

The video has been posted by the ICC as a tribute for the former Indian skipper, who will be celebrating his 38th birthday on Sunday.
