The defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, are all set for the IPL 2026. Fans were witnessing their dominance in the practice sessions, and now they even saw it in the practice match. This match was played yesterday and it was between Team Venkatesh Iyer and Team Krunal Pandya.

Virat Kohli played a fine knock of 29 runs off 12 balls, and even smashed three sixes. Jitesh Sharma was the star from Team Venky, as he scored 81 runs off 37 balls. Tim David was also fine with the bat, as he scored 36 runs off 14, while Team Venky finished their innings at the score of 234/7.

Team Krunal had shown absolute rampage with the bat. Devdutt Padikkal was able to score 68 runs off 33 balls, and the captain, Krunal Pandya, also scored 58 runs off 33 balls. Rajat Patidar turned out to be the star, scoring 74 runs off just 25 balls, as Team Krunal scored 247/4 in their innings.

Our Take

Royal Challengers Bengaluru are fully ready to dominate in the IPL 2026. The defending champions also enter the upcoming season as the front-runners to win the campaign. With players such as Virat Kohli, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Phil Salt, Romario Shepherd, Tim David, and more, their line-up seems to be a lot stronger.

However, they will be missing out on Josh Hazlewood in the upcoming season, as he is unavailable for the initial games. Still, the team has other bowlers as well, with Mangesh Yadav coming out as a promising youngster. It remains to be seen how RCB performs in their opening match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
