New Chelsea boss Frank Lampard wants Willian to stay at Chelsea, urging Chelsea to give the 30-year-old a new deal. The Brazilian has been linked heavily with a move to Barcelona, and the La Liga giants were keen on signing Willian last summer as well, but Chelsea refused to budge, no matter what.

Former Chelsea legend and now Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has identified both Callum Hudson-Odoi and Willian as his main stars for the upcoming season. Both the forwards have also been heavily linked with a move away, which has complicated things for the Blues. But Lampard has urged the Chelsea board to make sure that the two wingers stay at the club.

Willian has been persistently linked with a move to Barcelona for the past year or so, with Chelsea rejecting not one but four bids for the Brazilian. The last one was as recent as June 2019, with the La Liga Champions submitting a £35 million offer for the 30-year-old.

Hudson-Odoi, on the other hand, struggled to find his way under former manager Maurizio Sarri before doing just that. However, an injury cut his breakout season short, with his recovery still ongoing and one that will continue well into the 2019/20 season.  Yet that hasn't stopped the transfer rumours, with the teenager heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich.

“I know the club are talking to Willian. Willian and Callum Hudson-Odoi are both players I want in my squad,” Lampard revealed. “We’ve made some good moves this pre-season with Mason Mount and Ruben Loftus-Cheek signing new contracts, two young players nailed down and the club are always trying to do that.”
