PKL 2019 | All-star exhibition match to be played ahead of season 7 - Reports
The Pro Kabaddi League organisers have planned to hold an exhibition All-star match between Indian 7 and World 7 ahead of the start of the seventh edition. The match will be played on July 13, around a week before the commencement of the league at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad.
Almost all the 12 teams are gearing up for the upcoming season of the PKL at the moment. The players are honing their skills at various practice camps of the franchises all across the country. Meanwhile, Sportstar has reported that the league organisers are planning to organise a first of its kind All-star Kabaddi match before the season.
With the first leg of the tournament scheduled to be played in Hyderabad, the All-star match will also be played at the same venue. All the Indian players will be placed in Indian 7 while the best in world kabaddi will form a team named World 7 for the All-star game.
The report further stated that players like Siddharth Desai, Rahul Chaudhari, Pawan Sehrawat and Ajay Thakur are the four players who are confirmed to be a part of the Indian side. Sehrawat was the star for the defending champions Bengaluru while Desai had made his debut in the previous season for U Mumba and emerged as a star of the sixth season.
Iranian players like Fazel Atrachali, Abozar Mighani and Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakhsh along with South Korean star Jang Kun Lee will be a part of the World 7 in the exhibition game.
This much-awaited game will be played on July 13 at 7:30 pm IST while the season begins on July 20 with Telugu Titans and U Mumba taking on each other in the opening encounter followed by the game between the three-time winners Patna Pirates and defending champions Bengaluru Bulls.
