Indian opening pair, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, silenced their critics yet again by giving India a brilliant start, especially Dhawan who scored a fantastic 125. But everything went in vain as the Lankans chased the target with ease. Twitterati expressed their frustration through their tweets.

Here are some tweets from the game:

I had a really tough time reading the Lankan starting XI!

Dhawan and Rohit Sharma prove yet again why they are one of the best opening pairs!

But then the unthinkable happened!

Now that is a milestone worth celebrating for Sri Lanka!

But Dhawan still kept the smile on Indian fans' faces!

True story!

A wonderful click of Dhawan after destroying the Lankan bowlers!

Dhawan fans coming out of their caves after his century!

After Dhawan got out, it was the Dhoni show!

Well put!

Sri Lanka started their chase strongly!

But then Indian fielding happened!

This cracked me up!

However, we also have fielders like Jadhav!

The missing element!

It hurts when all the good efforts go in vain! :(

This gives us hope!
