Rashid Latif changes his stance on Sehwag in new video

"I wanted to warn Sehwag a lesson after his comments on Pakistan. We should respect each other. Sehwag was a great player who has scored two triple centuries. But he must understand he should not disrespect a country. I am not talking only about Pakistan but he should not disrespect teams like Sri Lanka or Bangladesh," Latif said in his new video.

The former Pakistani wicketkeeper had earlier posted an offensive video in response to Virender Sehwag's tweet ridiculting Pakistan on their loss to India. Sehwag had posted, "Pote kebaad Bete. Koi baatnahi Beta, Well tried ! Congratulations Bharat !#BaapBaapHotaHai #INDvPAK". Latif then posted a 15-minute video criticising Sehwag's comments and also spurted out offensive comments thrashing the former Indian batsman.

Manoj Tiwary then lashed out at Latif and warned him to stay in his limits. On the other hand, Virender Sehwag who is known for his expressive nature on social media played down the issue with his tweet, saying, "A meaningful silence is always better than meaningless words." 

The Pakistani cricketer faced heavy criticism for his offensive video which prompted him to put up a follow-up video explaining himself.

In a bid to make amends for his previous video, the 48-year old also congratulated the Indian team on qualifying for the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy tournament in the video.

"I would like to congratulate India. They have a good chance of making it into the finals. Virat Kohli is the best batsman in the world. Kumble (Indian head coach) has played against me. He is a very honest person. Also, the others who have played against me or I have heard about them, like- Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Ajay Jadeja, Azharuddin, Srinath, Srikkanth, I would like to congratulate them all," he said.
