Twitter reacts as Virat Kohli confirms Wriddhiman Saha's selection for first Test against South Africa
Indian skipper Virat Kohli has confirmed that Wriddhiman Saha will take the gloves for India in their Test series against South Africa ahead of young wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant. Indian cricket fans took to Twitter to express their opinion on Saha's selection and Pant's unceremonious axing.
Rap on the knuckles!
Just days after Ravi Shastri said he'll back Rishabh Pant to the hilt comes the news that he's been dropped from the Test XI for South Africa.

True!
Not saying Pant is a finished article but has a couple of Test tons #IndvSA

Ya! It means a lot to Saha!
It was a good debate but @Wriddhipops playing the Test match will mean much to him and is a just call. Big game for @ashwinravi99 as well.

Drop him in white ball cricket if you want to penalise him for poor outings in white-ball cricket. By dropping him in Tests, you’d taken away the only format he was exceptional for Team India.

Anyway, wishing Saha all the very best. It’s hard not to feel happy for him. 👍 2/2
Better glovework got Saha in
Rishabh Pant loses wicket-keeper’s spot for Test series v SA. Not so much for his lack of batting success in WI (tho that would have contributed too) as for his glovework. Saha’s superior ‘keeping skills on pitches with turn and probably low bounce swung it in his favour

Exactly!
the rap on the knuckles is here...#INDvSA

Pant dropped from the Test format where he's broken few records because of his white ball cricket issues. This management will drop Bumrah too some day.

And If you don't need him for the series, let him play for Delhi then.
The wait is over!
1 year, 8 months and 23 days later Wriddhiman Saha finally gets redemption, will be keeping in the test match against South Africa.

All the best @Wriddhipops.
As for Rishab, he's too good a player to be down and out for long!https://t.co/7HPB6E4SdH
Not bad!

Rishabh Pant has scored just 10 Test runs lesser than Virat Kohli and batted 1 innings lesser than him @ Average 53.81.
LOL

Only Indian cricket things!#INDvSA
They can't stop trolling
The worst thing MS Dhoni did in his career is to handover the captaincy to Virat Kohli.😒 #INDvSA

Just Kohli things
Pant has been dropped from the playing eleven of the first test because of his indifferent form in the T20s !! Wow, just Virat Kohli things #INDvSA
