‌As a coach or a mentor, one is bound to be joyous with the success of the disciples. Such was the case when Ravi Bishnoi took a scintillating catch to leave Zimbabwe youngster Brian Bennett disgusted as India and Zimbabwe went loggerheads in the third T20I at the Harare Sports Club.

Winning the toss and electing to bat first paid rich dividends for Shubman Gill and his young brigade with a 67-run opening stand setting up a formidable first innings score of 182. In response, the hosts failed to stand upright against the new ball attack of Avesh Khan and Khaleel Ahmed. One of the moments from the second innings that became the talk of the town was an acrobatic effort from Bishnoi inside the 30-yard circle to leave Bennet in despair.

Having already lost a couple of wickets by the third over, Avesh Khan bowled a length delivery wide outside the stumps on the first ball of the fourth over against Bennet. The 20-year-old tried to capitalise on the offered width and intended a hard-hand cut towards the square of the wicket at the off side. However, Bishnoi, stationed at backward point leaped in a flash to grasp the kookaburra firmly and completed an extraordinary catch. The Rajasthan-based young gun was spot on in timing the jump and plucked the white cherry out of thin air to leave the batter bemused. The Indian group soon swarmed around him in exuberance, and the Twitterverse credited his fielding excellence to his IPL coach for Lucknow Super Giants, Jonty Rhodes.
