Reports | Mario Mandzukic to remain in Juventus as he rejects PSG offer
Juventus are trying to unload Mario Mandzukic during this transfer window, but ultimately the striker will remain in Turin until January. Paris Saint-Germain have made a bid for the Croatian, but it has reportedly been rejected by the player as he wants to continue playing for Juventus this season.
The 33-year-old has refused the opportunity to move to Parc des Princes as he looks to fight for a spot in Maurizio Sarri squad, reports Goal. However, the competition is fierce with Gonzalo Higuain and the possibility of another striker joining La Vecchia Signora ranks, as they look to add one more quality player before the transfer window shuts down.
The Old Lady have been linked with a move for Mauro Icardi with reports stating that Mandzukic could be a part of a swap deal for the Argentine striker. However, while any deal is yet to materialize, it proves that the Croatian is not on Sarri's list for the Champions League or even the Serie A, making him a dispensable player and rock bottom on the club's striker list, behind Paulo Dybala, Cristiano Ronaldo and even Gonzalo Higuain.
On the other hand, Paris Saint-Germain are going through a front line crisis as they've recently seen Kylian Mbappé and Edinson Cavani sidelined with injuries. The Croatian international could be a big help to the French club during this difficult time, as he is someone capable of making a difference in their absence. More bids are expected to arrive hit Juventus' board for the ageing striker before the window ends, including bids from Manchester United and AS Roma.
