According to RMC Sport, former AS Monaco boss Thierry Henry is in consideration for the managerial role at Bordeaux if the club decide to part ways with Vladimir Petkovic. The French side have endured a torrid opening six months to the 2021/22 season, winning just three league games.

Not only that, they sit in the relegation zone, level on points with FC Lorient, and it has seen reports indicate that it could mean the end for Petkovic. RMC  Sport has further reported that Henry has been in contention for the job since Petkovic arrived in the summer as Bordeaux president Gerard Lopez is a big fan of the former Monaco and Montreal FC coach.


Juventus want Arsenal to sign Arthur Melo on 18 months loan plus a buy option

With Arsenal chasing after midfield reinforcements, Fabrizio Romano has reported that their top target is Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo although talks between the two parties are still ongoing. The Old Lady are open to letting Melo leave but are reportedly asking for an 18-month loan spell alongside an option to buy in order to let him go.

However, Romano has reported that Arsenal have offered them only a straight six-month loan move until the end of the current season with no option to buy and that has seen negotiations reach a standstill. Melo is reportedly keen on the move to North London but talks are still ongoing between the two parties.


Carlo Ancelotti reveals that both Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard have a role to play

In light of rumours indicating that both Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard are on the way out at Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that the two forwards do have a role to play for him as the Los Blancos continue to challenge for the title.

Both men have struggled with injuries over the last six months but have also not been picked when fully fit and ready to play. 

"Bale is back now after a long time, Hazard has been fine for a month and he is physically fit. I don't have to give advice to Hazard. He has the character and experience to decide himself and by the way, the quality that both of them have could help us a lot," Ancelotti said.


Ajax open to selling Nicolas Tagliafiaco this month for a reported €7 million fee

According to TYC Sports, Ajax are willing to let Nicolas Tagliafiaco leave this month but only if they get a fee of somewhere around €7 million for the left-back. The 29-year-old has less than six months left on his contract and is thus free to talk to clubs outside the Netherlands over a potential pre-contract agreement.

However, with both Chelsea and Barcelona considering moves, TYC Sports has reported that Ajax are open to letting the left-back leave this month for a cut-price fee.


Paul Pogba looking to see out the remainder of his contract before leaving for Real Madrid

Marca has reported that Manchester United's interim manager Ralf Rangnick and Paul Pogba have reported had a talk, with the Frenchman telling the German manager that he will see out his contract at Old Trafford before signing for Real Madrid at the end of the season on a free transfer.

The midfielder has less than six months left on his current deal and hasn't featured for the club since October because of a hamstring injury. Marca has further reported that Pogba's representatives have already told this to the Manchester United board as well and Rangnick although both parties remain keen on keeping the Frenchman at Old Trafford.

According to transfer reporter Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich are considering a move for Denis Zakaria this month as they believe the Swiss midfielder would be the perfect man to reinforce their midfield ahead of another title charge.

The Borussia Monchengladbach man has less than six months left on his current contract and has been linked with a move all across Europe. Furthermore, Plettenberg has reported that Manchester United's interest in Zakaria is unlikely with the Red Devils now out of the race.

El Nacional has reported that Real Madrid and Carlo Ancelotti are obessed over a potential move for Kalvin Phillips as the Italian manager believes that the English international is the perfect man to replace Casemiro.

However, the report has indicated that Liverpool are also in the running for Phillips with them mulling over a potential £34 million bid although both Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are also in the race. The 26-year-old has been a key cog for Leeds United although he has struggled for fitness this season.


Newcastle United set to abandon their pursuit for Diego Carlos

According to the Daily Express, Newcastle United are willing to abandon their pursuit for Sevilla defender Diego Carlos as they believe the club's asking price is too high. The La Liga side are reportedly sticking to their £50 million asking price and have rejected bids of £25 million and £30 million from the Magpies.

The St James' Park side have already come to an agreement with Carlos over a five year contract alongside wages but are ready to drop the deal as they believe that Sevilla are refusing to budge on the asking price.


Udinese sign Arsenal defender Pablo Mari on loan

After weeks of speculation, Udinese have confirmed that they have signed Arsenal defender Pablo Mari on loan for the rest of the season. The Spaniard has struggled for game-time since his move to the Emirates Stadium from Flamengo and has made just three appearances for the North London side this term.

Manchester United open to letting Jesse Lingard leave this month on loan

According to talkSPORT, Manchester United are ready to let Jesse Lingard go this month but only if an interested party pays £3.5 million for the English international. The 29-year-old has less than six months left on his current deal and is reportedly not going to sign a new contract with the Red Devils.

However, no move has materialized yet despite interest from Newcastle United, Barcelona, West Ham, Tottenham and Juventus although talkSPORT has revealed that United have changed their stance on Lingard and are open to letting him leave.


Chelsea join the race for Barcelona starlet Gavi

While Barcelona are reportedly looking to hand Gavi a new contract, the young starlet has attracted attention from across Europe and El Nacional has reported that Chelsea are the latest side to shown an interest. The Blues have reportedly already been in contact over a potential move for Frenkie de Jong and Sergino Dest but are now looking at Gavi.

The 17-year-old has shown his talent this term which combined with his reported release clause of €50 million has attracted attention although Barcelona are looking to hand him a new deal with a higher release clause. El Nacional has further reported that Chelsea believes they can convince Gavi because of their ability to offer a higher wage packet.


Tottenham pushing for a move for Roma midfielder Jordan Veretout 

Tuttosport has reported that with Tottenham looking for a new midfielder, the North London side are pushing for a move for Jordan Veretout this month. The 28-year-old is reportedly said to be both Antonio Conte and Tottenham director of football Fabio Paratici's top target this month.

However, while Roma are also keen on a move for Tanguy Ndombele, Tuttosport has reported that a swap deal is not on the cards although the two parties are yet to have a discussion over a potential move for either Frenchman.


Barcelona drop Ousmane Dembele from their squad ahead of Copa del Rey clash against Athletic club

In light of his reported refusal to sign a new contract, Barcelona have released their team for the Copa del Rey clash against Athletic Club and have confirmed that Ousmane Dembele has been dropped over his contract issues. That was confirmed by their director of football Mateu Alemany, who revealed that Dembele doesn't want to continue with them.

"There have been negotiations with Ousmane and his agent since July more or less. During that time, Barca have made several different offers, looking for a way for him to stay with us," Alemany said.

"These offers have been rejected by his agents. It's clear the player does not want to stay at Barca and is not committed to the club. Therefore, in this scenario, we have told him and his agents that they should leave immediately because we want players that are committed to this project.

"Not being in the squad is a consequence of all of that. We don't want players that don't want to be here. Obviously, the coach has had the final say on this, but he has the club's full support."

Juventus set €65 million as the asking price for Matthijs de Ligt

La Repubblica has reported that Juventus have reportedly want €65 million from any club that wants to sign Matthijs de Ligt. The Dutch defender has been heavily linked with a move away amidst serious interest from Barcelona, Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

But while Juventus are unwilling to part with the former Ajax starlet, the 22-year-old is being pushed to leave by agent Mino Raiola and La Repubblica has reported that in light of that, the Old Lady are willing to part with him for €65 million. 


Newcastle United table a €15 million bid for Bayer Leverkusen's Mitchel Bakker

Having already signed Kieran Trippier as their new right-back, reports indicated that Newcastle United were looking to sign Bayer Leverkusen defender Mitchel Bakker and the Daily Mail has revealed that the Magpies have tabled a €14.5 million bid for the full-back.

The 21-year-old only signed for the German side in the summer of 2021 from PSG but the report has indicated that the right fee would convince Leverkusen to let Bakker leave.


Chelsea return is not an option for Eden Hazard

According to Marca, Chelsea are not willing to re-sign Eden Hazard in the near future as the Blues are reportedly not willing to pay the fee that Real Madrid wants. The Belgian has struggled for fitness and form since signing for the La Liga giants and is reportedly out of favour right now under Carlo Ancelotti.

However, a return to the Premier League is reportedly on the cards for the former Lille and Chelsea superstar although Marca has further reported that Hazard won't simply leave for the sake of leaving as he wants to make sure any move is the right one.


Leeds United drop out of Ben Brereton Diaz race after Blackburn Rovers set £25 million asking price

The Mirror has reported that Leeds United are all set to drop their interest in Ben Brereton Diaz after Blackburn Rovers set an asking price of around £25 million for the forward. The center-forward is enjoying a stellar time in the Championship this season with 20 goals in just 27 appearances.

Not only that, Diaz has thrived during international duty with Chile, netting three goals in his nine caps so far but it's his form for Blackburn that has attracted the interest. But Leeds are set to drop out over the Championship side's asking price although they are looking for offensive reinforcements this month.

Ajax looking into the possibility of signing Mohamed Ihattaren

Despite signing for Juventus on deadline day, Mohamed Ihattaren was immediately loaned out to Sampdoria and things haven't gone according to plan for the forward as De Telegraaf is reporting that Ajax are looking into the possibility of signing the 19-year-old this month.

The Dutch giants have reportedly offered an inital loan deal with an option to buy amidst rumours that Ihattaren wants to return back to the Netherlands. The 19-year-old's loan spell at Sampdoria has been forgetful with him yet to feature for the club and is currently AWOL, and has reportedly returned to the Netherlands.
