ATK head coach Antonio Lopez Habas will have to do without the services of two of his new signings - striker Jobby Justin and defender Anas Edathodika - in their opening fixture of the ISL 2019-20 season against Kerala. Jobby will miss the first three games while Anas will be out for only the first.

The opening fixture of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2019-20 season will see two-time champions, ATK travel to the home of their southern rivals, Kerala Blasters on October 20. While head coach Antonio Lopez Habas will have most of his squad up and ready to make selections from, the Spaniard will have to do without the services of two of his new signings - former East Bengal striker Jobby Justin and defender Anas Edathodika.

Jobby is serving a six-match suspension which was handed out by the Disciplinary Committee towards the end of last season due to an ugly spat with Aizawl FC defender Kareem Nurain. Having already served three of those in the Hero I-League last term, the 25-year-old forward will miss ATK’s first three ISL matches this season, which will be played against Kerala, Hyderabad, and Chennaiyin, respectively.

Anas, meanwhile, will miss just the opening fixture against his former side due to a suspension which is a culmination of the red card he received when representing the Blasters against Indian Arrows in the 2019 Super Cup. Anas was part of the Blasters set up last season, playing eight Hero ISL 2018-19 matches for them before moving to ATK ahead of the coming season. Both the players hail from the state of Kerala but are currently plying their trade at the Kolkata-based club this season.
