Ruud van Nistelrooy received a perfect start with Leicester, as the team defeated West Ham in the first game under his guidance by 3-1 in the English Premier League. Jamie Vardy started off the game by scoring a goal in the 2nd minute.

Ruud van Nistelrooy had a great start being the charge of Leicester in the English Premier League, as the team won its first game under his guidance. They were able to defeat West Ham in their previous game by 3-1, as Crystal Palace also defeated Ipswich in their previous game.

After his departure from Manchester United, van Nistelrooy had a great start with Leicester in the tournament. In the English Premier League game against West Ham, the team scored three goals which were made by Jamie Vardy, Bilal El Khannouss and Patson Daka.

Following the game, Ruud van Nistelrooy talked about the same in an interview, saying,“On a long-term basis we know the performances need to get better. But the spirit and how we want to do things we saw today because, if not, the Premier League is too brutal.”

He also revealed that he received various offers being the interim manager of Manchester United for just four games, out of which, the team was able to defeat Leicester in two games. Jamie Vardy scored a goal in the 2nd minute of the game, which came out to be an impressive start for Leicester in the game and gave them an upper hand.
