ICC ODI Rankings | Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah maintain top spots in latest rankings

Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah retained their respective spots at the top of the ICC ODI batsmen’s and bowlers’ list respectively after their performances in the recently-concluded ODI series against Australia. Despite losing the series, India continues to be second on the ODI team list.

Kohli scored 310 runs which included two hundreds against Australia in the five-match ODI series which was played in India. Although the hosts lost the series 2-3, the skipper looked in a great touch throughout the series and remained at the top of the list as far as the ICC ODI batsmen rankings were concerned. The Indian skipper is followed by Rohit Sharma who is second on the list. While Kohli has 890 points while Rohit has a total of 839 rating points under his belt on the latest update of the ICC rankings table which was released today.

On the bowlers’ list, Bumrah leads the chart with a total of 774 rating points while he is followed by Kiwi pacer Trent Boult with 759 and Rashid Khan with 747 points at the second and third spots respectively.  The wrist spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal are the other two bowlers in top 10 at sixth and eighth place respectively. 

After a good all-round show against Australia at home, Kedar Jadhav has moved up 11 places and is currently placed 14th on the all-rounders’ list which is led by Afghan cricketer Rashid with a total of 356 points. England and India are the top two teams on the ICC rankings list while New Zealand have overtaken South Africa to take the third position in the newly-released rankings.
