Indian skipper Virat Kohli and premier fast-bowler Jasprit Bumrah maintained their No.1 rankings in men’s ODI rankings, as of the official update released on Thursday. Riding on their 2-0 home series win against Sri Lanka, Pakistan’s Mohammad Amir rose to seventh in the bowling charts.

Despite not featuring in a single ODI since the World Cup, Bumrah has maintained his lead on the list of bowlers in world cricket. For the World Cup’s leading run-scorer, Rohit Sharma, his slight dip in form has not hurt his No.2 position among batsmen either. But, with scores of 120 and 114 not out, king Kohli has tightened his grip on the title of the world’s best in ODI cricket.

Meanwhile, at the end of a comfortable return to playing at home, Amir, who grabbed four wickets in the three matches against Sri Lanka, has jumped six spots to a career-best position at No.7. Usman Shinwari, another left-arm fast bowler from Pakistan, gained 28 slots to reach 43rd position after picking up six wickets from two matches, including a five-fer.

Left-handers Fakhar Zaman (up to 16th) and Haris Sohail (up to 32nd) are the others to gain from the Pakistani side, while a century in the third ODI helped Sri Lanka’s Danuskha Gunathilaka up to a career-best 70th place. In the team rankings, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have held onto sixth and eighth positions, respectively, while Namibia, Oman and the USA, having breached the minimum requirement of eight qualifying matches, are now on the rankings table.
