The first season of the LLCM was played in the year 2022 from 20 January to 29 January. The team emerged quite successful as they were stopped a step away from the championship trophy and they finished as the runners-up team. Thus the Asia Lions got a good start to the league and managed to capture a good number of audience in the first season itself owing to their performances which matched the expectations of the fans.
Their first-ever match as a team was against the Indian Maharajas. Though they ended up being defeated in this match by 6 wickets, the team presented some incredible displays of team spirit throughout the game. The only two wicket-takers for the match were Shoaib Akhtar and Umar Gul with 1 wicket each at the cost of 21 and 30 runs respectively.
In their second match, the Asia Lions faced the World Giants. Coming out to bat in the difficult chase they showed exactly why they are the best in the business. The Lions managed to chase down the big target in 19.1 overs. The two half-centuries from Tillakaratne Dilshan and Mohammad Hafeez scoring 52 and 63 runs brought them closer to the target. This gave the team the recognition they deserve in the league.
Their next match was against the Indian Maharajas. The Lions managed a good total of 193 runs batting first owing to the performances of Upul Tharanga and Asghar Afghan of 72 and 69 runs, thus giving the Maharajas a target of 194 runs. Nuwan Kulasekara, Mohammad Rafique and Asghar Afghan were the best contributors with the ball picking up 2 wickets each. In the end, the Asia Lions won the match by a respectable margin of 36 runs.
Their fourth and last league match was against the World Giants. In this match, they could not perform up to the expectations of the fans. Batting first they put up a total of 149 runs from 20 overs. Asghar Afghan Was the best performer with 41 runs from 26 balls. Thus setting a target of 150 runs for the Giants which was a difficult score to defend. The only two wicket-takers for the Asia Lions were Nuwan Kulasekara and Muthiah Muralidaran with 1 and 2 wickets giving 15 and 22 runs respectively. Unfortunately, they were defeated in the match with 7 overs remaining. With this, they qualify for the finals due to their second position on the points table.
The next match was the final match of the season where the Asia Lions were ready to face the World Giants. This was like a repetition of the previous match and so were the results. The Asia Lions could not bring out the match in their favour in an extremely high-scoring match. Batting first the World Giants put up a total of 256 runs thus setting a massive target of 257 runs from 120 runs. The Asia Lions seemed to be on the back foot from the beginning of the match. But they put up a good fight and managed to get to a total of 231 runs and fell short of the target by 25 runs. Thus they had to accept the runners-up title for the season.
It can be said that they ended the opening season on a high note and increased the expectations of the fans. They will go into the next season high on confidence and look to convert their runners-up title to champions.
The latest season of the Legends League Cricket Masters concluded recently on 20 March 2023 with Asia Lions emerging as the champions. In their next match, their opponent changed but they failed to change the results. In this match, they faced the World Giants. Given a target of 151 to chase, they managed only 130 runs losing all 10 of their wickets. Neither the batters nor the bowlers could perform up to the mark in this match resulting in a shocking defeat for one of the best teams in the league.

In this match, the Lions were given a target of 148 runs, which they reached in just 16.1 overs with 23 balls and 7 wickets in hand.
