Dabang Delhi KC will aim for nothing less than a win when they face Bengal Warriors in the final of the 2019 Pro Kabaddi League in Ahmedabad on Saturday evening. Bodog has given Dabang Delhi a slight edge over their opponents to win their first-ever championship after a promising display this season

Form guide

Dabang Delhi - W-D-L-L-W

Delhi was the most consistent team in the Pro Kabaddi League this season, winning 15 out of their 22 matches in the group stage, losing 4, and sharing spoils on the other 3 occasions. Certainly the most ruthless unit with the likes of the dynamic Naveen Kumar in the squad, a couple of losses to UP Yoddha and Bengal Warriors in the latter stages of the tournament did not affect their form as they sailed past defending champions Bengaluru Bulls in the semi-final to set up a title clash this Saturday evening.

Bengal Warriors hasn’t been that far behind Dabang Delhi in terms of firepower with the likes of Maninder Singh in their ranks. Having scripted 14 victories in the group stages, they lost 5 and drew on 3 occasions with a winning percentage of 65%. The Warriors are in red hot form having won 4 out of their last five matches including the nail-biting finish in the semi-finals against U-Mumba. Bengal Warriors is not going to miss their chance to lay hands on the coveted trophy for the first time in their history when they face Dabang Delhi this weekend.

Key Players

Naveen Kumar

By far the best player for Dabang Delhi, Naveen Kumar has bagged 283 raid points in the ongoing Pro Kabaddi League with a 63% strike rate. He has made the second most successful raids in 2019 PKL with a count of 237 just second to Bengaluru Bulls Pawan Sehrawat. Meanwhile, he tops the charts for the maximum number of Super 10s with 21 which makes him such a vital player for the team from the capital. If Dabang Delhi hopes to pull off the coup in the final, as predicted by Bodog</a>, Naveen will have a big part to play.

Ravinder Pahal

The experienced campaigner has been the backbone for Delhi throughout the 2019 PKL, having made life difficult for raiders on the other side of the court. With 62 tackles to his name, Ravinder is the most successful defender for his team this season with a tackle strike rate of 42.46. With the likes of Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakhsh in the Bengal Warriors squad, Ravinder will have his task cut out in Dabang Delhi's first attempt to win the league in the final match which is also backed by Bodog.

Bengal Warriors

Baldev Singh

The right corner defender has been absolutely flawless for Bengal Warriors in this year’s campaign. Not only he is their best defender, but doing it at a strike rate of 55.17 is remarkable. It has been literally non-penetrable for the opposition when Baldev is in charge of the defence, having collected a total of 65 points in the PKL. He is going to shoulder the burden of delivering the goods for Bengal Warriors in the final with Naveen Kumar raiding from the opposite end. Although Bodog has not given an edge to Warriors to clinch the title, Baldev has the potential to turn the tables.

Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakhsh

The all-rounder has played the perfect balancing act in the Bengal Warriors line-up. Nabibakhsh has the ability to get you successful raids on a regular basis and on the other hand grab some valuable tackle points. In total, the Iranian has been able to score a total of 112 points in the 2019 PKL so far which includes 83 tackle points and 29 raid points. With Maninder Singh in doubt for the title clash, Nabibakhsh will have the extra responsibilities in guiding his team to a maiden PKL title against the expectations of Bodog.

Bodog predictions

Even though a closely-fought contest is on the cards, Bodog is backing up Dabang Delhi KC to win the PKL final and clinch their maiden title. On the other hand, Bengal Warriors who might play without their star raider Maninder Singh may find it hard to topple a consistent Delhi side which has performed phenomenally well throughout the season.
