The All England Championship, one of the most prestigious tournaments in badminton, is all set to deliver exciting and entertaining matches for the fans all over the world. While, all the participants have geared up for the Super 1000 event which will start today in Birmingham, England.

Considering the current crop of the Indian badminton, which includes the like of PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal, Kidambi Srikanth, HS Prannoy, B Sai Praneeth, the hopes are very high from the squad. In this tournament, Prakash Padukone and Pullela Gopichand were the successful players for India so far who won the title in 1980 and 2001 respectively. Saina Lost a tough three-game final against Carolina Marin in 2015, while Sindhu, Srikanth, Prannoy, and Praneeth failed to reach beyond the last eight.

For this season the qualification event was not scheduled which means all the top-seeded players will join the fray. The only top player who misses out from the contest is Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen due to an injury.

The final of the tournament will be played on March 18 and today most the Indian players will start their campaign in their respective categories. Here you can check out today’s match fixtures:
