Cricket

India on the brink! Lunchtime, SA are 105-4 chasing 310 having lost their two best batsman of the tour so far, Elgar & de Villiers. Amla & Du-Plessis are currently displaying some great temperament in a crucial rear-guard partnership for SA.

Post lunch yesterday saw another failure for the Indian batting line-up as an Imran Tahir 5-wicket haul tumbled India from 97-2 to 173 all-out.

Stat of the day: At home: 7.83, Outside home: 46.37; Batting averages of Ajinkya Rahane– disappointing numbers for someone who can be a future Indian batting great.

#LetsFootball

It was survival day yesterday for ISL bottom-dwellers Mumbai & Kerala. Both needed a win to have a realistic chance of qualification to knockouts, and they got a poor result – a 1-1 draw!

Badminton

Good day for India at the Macau Open Grand Prix Gold as all 3 – Sindhu, Prannoy & Praneeth made it to QFs.

Star of the day: Prannoy, who had a tough 3-setter win against Qiao Bin of China; an excellent win considering that it’s not very often that a Chinese player loses from a set up.
