India were outplayed 72-117 by Korea in their opening fifth-to-eighth position classification match in the 2015 FIBA Asia Basketball Championship in Changsha-Hunan (China).

A day after losing to China in the quarterfinals, India appeared uninspired against their world number 28 ranked opponents, as they trailed right through the game after being eight points adrift at the end of the first quarter.

World number 61 India were outplayed by 16 and 15 points respectively by Korea in the second and third quarters after losing steam, following which they changed their main players to give an opportunity to the bench.

In-form Amjyot Singh was India’s top scorer with 24 points. India will play Qatar in their final classification match on October 3 that will decide the seven and eighth placings.
