Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa guided KKR to a professional victory over Delhi Daredevils at the Eden Gardens. They dominated the Delhi team in all departments except fielding, where both teams were guilty of dropping simple catches. The Twitterati reacted to all this and more.

Brief Scores: Delhi Daredevils 160/6 (Sanju Samson 60, Shreyas Iyer 47; Nathan Coulter-Nile 3/34, Sunil Narine 1/25) lost to Kolkata Knight Riders 161/3 (Gautam Gambhir 71*, Robin Uthappa 59; Kagiso Rabada 2/20) by 7 wickets.

Here are the best tweets from the game

It seems a KKR victory was a foregone conclusion

It was like any other IPL match, with the fielding..

umpiring..

and Yusuf Pathan reminding everyone of home comforts

There was enough time for entertainment

Before the Daredevils finally ran out of steam

Clearly, the players weren't communicating well with each other

But the KKR top order looked to make short work of the target

Samson & Mishra served up another example of the fielding prowess on show this IPL - just what they needed, with Gauthappa on current form

In the end, only this could have saved the Daredevils

But clearly, they didn't have enough
