VIDEO | Fearing Azhar Ali moment, Krunal Pandya waits for screen to confirm result before leaving crease

Azhar Ali's run-out against Australia was the most bizarre thing that would have happened on a cricket field, but the incident has somehow instilled a sense of fear among all. Today, after leading India to win, Krunal Pandya didn’t leave the non-striker’s end to ensure the team had already won.

Ali was dismissed in the most bizarre way possible against Australia in the second Test in Abu Dhabi. Mitchell Starc collected the ball from the deep and threw it to Tim Paine, who dislodged the bails with both the batsmen in the middle of the pitch talking to each other, thinking that the ball was dead.

Today would have been the repeat of the same. When India needed a couple of runs to win the match, Krunal Pandya played a Keemo Paul full ball over short cover's head and easily picked up a couple. However, from his theatrics, it seemed like he was unsure if the team had already crossed the line or not and waited for some time his crease.

He was very nervous and kept his eye on the big screen to check the result and once it showed India as the winner, he joined Dinesh Karthik in the celebration.
