While Stan Lee’s Spiderman has saved New York from the supervillains multiple times, it was the turn for Fox TV’s Spider Cam to be the savior today for ”the Big Show” Glenn Maxwell. Maxwell's high hit at the Oval was destined for a catch before it hit the overhead camera and was called a dead ball.

They call him “The Big Show” and there is a reason behind that. You may not trust Maxwell to bat for your life, but if you want to risk it, it is worth it. At Brisbane, Maxwell seemed to be in outstanding touch and at one point, even hit a hat-trick of sixes to give Australia the much-needed boost.

On the last ball of the 16th over, Krunal Pandya, who had a terrible day at the office, bowled a flatter outside the off-stump delivery to which Maxwell hit it over Krunal’s head, but ended up mistiming it. However, the lady luck was with the Victorian as it hit the overhead camera and was called dead ball.

Had it not hit the spider cam, it would have surely been landed on some fielder’s hands to bring the curtains down on Maxwell’s innings. It brought relief to Maxwell although not resulting to much as moments later they were off the field as the skies above the Gabba opened up. The game eventually reduced to a 17-over affair and as soon as the game resumed, Maxwell gave a simple catch to Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
