Golf LPGA Tour | Aditi Ashok manages T-47 finish at Shanghai

After having a horrible penultimate round in Shanghai, Aditi Aditi Ashok managed to shoot an even-par 72 in the final round of the Buick Open tournament in Shanghai on Sunday. The Indian Open winner managed a three-over finish after one time slipping to six-over in the final round of the tournament.

The Bengaluru based golfer finished at 47th place miles away from a top finish. In the third round, she had a horrible start as a three-over 75 and lost valuable strokes. Though she was better in her final round milking four birdies and as many bogeys it was too late and she finished a lowly 47th.

It was not a start to be proud off as she began with a bogey on her first hole and further in latter holes she was five-under though she managed turnaround with a birdie on the par-5 9th. She had two more bogeys waiting for her at the 10th and 11th hole before she shot three birdies on the trot.  A birdie on the par-5 13th was followed by another on the par-4 14th. The final one came at the 17th as Aditi finished with an overall 3-over 291 for the tournament.

Danielle Kang from USA was the winner by two shots in a close finish to the tournament.  She carded a final-round 69 for a total 13-under-par 275 in overcast conditions at Qizhong Garden Golf Club. It wa an intensely fought tournament as seven players were tied for the second place.
