Indian wrestler and MMA fighter Ritu Phogat has become the latest addition to a star studded list of Parimatch brand ambassadors. The 30-year-old had, part of wrestling royalty, won gold at the Commonwealth Games in 2016 amongst other achievements before turning to mixed martial arts in 2019.

Ritu Phogat is set to join Parimatch as brand ambassador as part of which the athlete will engage in events and campaigns through both social media and offline meetups, with the aim of using the platform to share her journey with fans while helping them along on their own. Ritu belongs to the nation's most acclaimed boxing family with sisters Geeta Phogat , Babita Kumari, and Vinesh Phogat all having gold medals at the Commonwealth Games courtesy of their training under Ritu's father and former national wrrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat.

As a 22-year-old and two-time reigning national champions, Ritu had clinched gold in the 48kg category at the Singapore Commonwealth Games before earning India their first ever silver at the U-23 World Championships, a year later in World U23 Championships. A bronze medal also followed the same year in the Asian Championships in New Delhi.

“I am thrilled to join Parimatch as a brand ambassador,” Ritu Phogat said. “Sport, like the ring, teaches us that every move matters. It inspires, unites, and shows the power of dedication and belief. I can’t wait to connect with fans, share my journey, and show everyone that with hard work and determination, you can step into the ring of life and come out a winner.”

As for her MMA journey, the Haryana-born finished runners-up in the 2021 ONE Women's Atomweight World Grand Prix and is set to return to the ring after a two-year hiatus to face Ayaka Miura on February 20.

“Ritu is a role model for aspiring athletes. Her journey encourages others to follow their dreams in sports with passion and determination. She is a strong advocate for women’s sports, empowering and motivating others through her achievements. We’re proud to partner with such an exceptional athlete and look forward to this powerful collaboration," commented the Parimatch Press Office.
