Sania Mirza and Barbora Strycova beat Chinese pair of Chen Liang and Zhaoxuan Yang to clinch the Pan Pacific Open title as they dominated the final right from the start by winning in straight sets 6-1, 6-1. With this win, the duo have now secured their second title in two months after pairing up.

After winning a thrilling encounter against Gabriela Dabrowski and Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez in the semifinals, Sania Mirza and her Czech partner Barbora Strycova came up against the unseeded Chinese pair of Chen Liang and Zhaoxuan Yang.

The Indo-Czech pair dominated from the start and broke their opponent's serve four times in the first set. Although, the Chinese pair got a break back, it was not enough to stop Mirza and Strycova from winning the first set comfortably at 6-1. Liang and Yang fought back in the second set, or at least they tried to, but the No.2 seeds saved four break points on their service before earning two breaks of their own. They won the second set 6-1 in what a fairly easy outing for them in Tokyo.

With this win, the Indo-Czech pair have now added to their Cincinnati Open win from the last month. Despite facing a disappointing exit at the US Open, the pair has bounced back in style.
